Some troublemakers have suggested that Robinho had never even heard of Manchester City until they flashed their newly stocked cheque book in the Brazilian’s face. After that it became a lot easier to get Robinho’s focus. But just a few days later, back in his comfort zone training with the Brazilian national squad, Robinho fluffed his lines at a press conference to talk about his excitement at joining Chelsea. I didn’t grow up with a television and have never owned one as an adult.
